Meet Sarah

Sarah Cherington, M.S.

Coach & Athlete

Sarah's running journey began at age 30, following the birth of her first daughter, with a simple goal to regain her fitness and carve out some time for herself. Like many women starting out, she felt a profound lack of confidence; she trained for her very first 5K entirely on a treadmill, feeling too unsure of herself to even run outside. At the time, 3.1 miles felt like an impossible distance. When she crossed that first 5K finish line, she cried. She understands that the finish line isn't just a time on a clock; it is the culmination of a deeply personal journey.

She eventually moved from the treadmill to the road, completing her first marathon at age 35 with a finish time of 4:23. By applying the science of training and staying consistent, Sarah transformed herself from a hesitant beginner into a competitive athlete, proving that it is never too late to redefine your limits.

A Boston native now living in Houston, Sarah is a working mom of two teenagers who balances a professional life with running and strength training.
